About SwingRoo

Weekly chart briefings for people who don't have time to watch the market all day.

What this site is

SwingRoo screens the S&P/ASX 300 every week, surfaces the setups worth watching from a swing point of view, and writes up each one as a 7-panel technical chart analysis. We are not picking stocks for you — the goal is to record what the chart says, as it says it, always writing down the bullish case and the bearish case side by side.

Why "SwingRoo"?

A swing setup usually resolves within a couple of weeks — it either follows through or it fails. We note the key chart levels in advance, and let the next two weeks of closing prices do the talking. The "Roo" is for Australia: this site covers ASX-listed stocks only.

How picks are selected and analysed

  1. Screening — every week we sweep price, dollar volume and trend across the S&P/ASX 300, scoring three families of technical signals: pullbacks, breakouts and moving-average setups. Low-volatility mega-caps are excluded; resource large-caps stay in.
  2. Selection — stocks with meaningful relative strength against the market index (Mansfield RS) and sufficient liquidity make that week's shortlist. Stocks in a trading halt on scan day are excluded for the week.
  3. Analysis — each stock gets a 7-panel chart workup — price with moving averages and Bollinger Bands / volume and accumulation / MACD / RSI and divergences / Mansfield relative strength / ATR·ADX / OBV — plus scenario probabilities and the key chart levels (support, resistance, technical invalidation) that frame them.

Operating principles

The YouTube channel

Each week's standout signals also run as a 60-second video on our YouTube channel, SwingRoo (@SwingRooAU). Every signal featured there is scored in public against pre-set lines two weeks later — hit or miss, and we show the result either way.
